The human figure fascinates me. As a sea swimmer I find inspiration from my fellow female swimmers and from the landscape where we swim. The colour of our skins change with the seasons, vivid pinks in the cold sea of winter, warm tones in the summer. I am interested in the interaction of the figures with the environment, the poses adopted as we balance and change, and our bonds as friends. I have developed a loose, gestural, painterly style, working vigorously wet on wet, predominantly in oils.
